Sherwin-Williams Global Color & Design Center In Greensboro, NC Unveils Its Newly Created Resource Room

Attendees of the 2011 Fall High Point Market were some of the first to explore the new resource room at the Sherwin-Williams Global Color and Design Center. An assemblage of the elements that impact and inspire design, the room contains everything from textiles and solid surface samples, to international shelter magazines and samples of the latest technology in wall coverings and special effect pigments.  The room also serves as a color library for many of the Sherwin-Williams brands, as well as for up-to-the minute forecast palettes from some of the world’s most prestigious color and design agencies.

The showroom at the Design Center has always been considered a source for inspiration, with its wealth of hundreds of finish samples for wood, metal and even plastic substrates on display.  In recent years, mood / trend boards have been also been displayed amongst the array of finish panels, expressing a “total look” that pulls together synergistic colors, textures, and materials to challenge our concepts of trends.  Design Center visitors are encouraged to create their own trend synergies using the Resource Room, identifying samples that reflect the core aesthetic of their project or perhaps a surface decoration that they would like to mimic.  Our color stylists will then interpret those ideas to create customized finishing systems appropriate for the manufacturing parameters of the product.

The Resource Room at the Sherwin-Williams Global Color and Design Center adds new inspiration that results in production-ready design solutions for OEMs and the design community.  Please contact your Sherwin-Williams representative or visit oem.sherwin.com for additional information on the Global Color & Design Center.
